Slow-Roasted Tri-Tip Sirloin
Sweet & Savory Beef Roast with Dates
A rich, tender beef roast infused with the natural sweetness of Medjool dates, dried fruits, and warm spices—perfect for a festive or comforting meal.
Ingredients
✔️ 1 whole tri-tip sirloin (عرق تربيانكو)
✔️ Salt and pepper to taste
✔️ 1 tablespoon Marvelous olive oil
✔️ 1 tablespoon butter
✔️ 2 tablespoons Marvelous Medjool date syrup
✔️ 1 large onion, sliced
✔️ 4–5 dried peach halves
✔️ 5–6 Marvelous Medjool dates, pitted
✔️ 5–6 dried prunes
✔️ 2 small tomatoes, chopped
✔️ 2 cinnamon sticks
✔️ 1 to 1½ cups hot water
Directions
1️⃣ Season & Sear
Rub the tri-tip sirloin generously with salt and pepper. In a hot pan, heat Marvelous olive oil and butter, then sear the meat on all sides until beautifully browned.
2️⃣ Glaze with Date Syrup
Remove from heat and rub the sirloin with Marvelous Medjool date syrup until fully coated.
3️⃣ Build the Flavor Base
In the same pan, add onion slices, dried peach, Medjool dates, dried prunes, tomatoes, and cinnamon sticks.
4️⃣ Slow Cook
Return the meat to the pan, add hot water until it comes halfway up the sides of the meat. Cover and let it cook on medium heat for about 1.5–2 hours, or until tender.
5️⃣ Serve
Slice the meat and serve warm. Spoon the rich, fruity sauce over the slices or serve it on the side for drizzling.
